Home Dashboard is a household organization application that helps households coordinate shared information such as members, calendars, tasks, grocery lists, meals, household settings, and supported device controls. This policy explains how Home Dashboard collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information.
Home Dashboard may collect information you provide directly, including your email address, account and household membership information, display name or nickname, household name and settings, calendar entries, tasks, grocery information, meal information, and household location information such as country and postal code. Home Dashboard may also process technical information required to operate, secure, and diagnose the service.
Information is used to authenticate accounts, create and manage households, synchronize household information across authorized devices, provide household features, enforce permissions, operate optional integrations and voice/device controls, determine household timezone and weather, diagnose problems, prevent misuse, and protect the service. Home Dashboard does not sell personal information.
Home Dashboard is designed for shared household use. Information placed in shared household areas may be visible to other authorized members of the same household. Household administrators may have additional controls over membership, permissions, and shared household content.
When the Home Dashboard voice assistant is used, spoken input may be converted to text and processed to understand and carry out the request. Depending on the requested feature, the resulting command or transcript and limited household context may be transmitted to Home Dashboard backend services as needed to perform the requested action and enforce the user's existing permissions.
Home Dashboard may control supported media playback and media volume on the Android device on which the application is running when a user intentionally activates those controls through the app or supported voice commands. Home Dashboard does not use device media controls for advertising purposes.
Home Dashboard may use household location information supplied by the user, such as country and postal code, to determine timezone information and provide features such as local weather. The currently supported household-location feature does not require continuous precise device location.
Home Dashboard may offer optional integrations, including Google services such as Google Calendar. These integrations are activated only when the user chooses to connect them. Third-party services may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
Home Dashboard uses service providers and cloud infrastructure, including Google Firebase and related Google Cloud services, for authentication, database storage, backend functions, application configuration, and other operational capabilities.
Home Dashboard uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user and household information. These may include authenticated access, encrypted network communications, household permissions, backend authorization checks, and database security rules. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
Home Dashboard retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain the user's account and household, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the service. If information must be retained after an account-deletion request for a legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or similar reason, only the information necessary for that purpose will be retained for as long as necessary.
Users may request deletion of their Home Dashboard account and associated personal information through Home Dashboard's account-deletion process or through the external account-deletion method at myhomedash.app/delete-account/. Because Home Dashboard is a shared-household service, some shared household content may remain when necessary for other authorized household members; identifying links to the deleted account will be removed or disconnected where appropriate.
Household administrators may create member profiles for household members, including children. A household member profile is not necessarily a separately registered user account. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether and how children in their household use Home Dashboard. Home Dashboard does not knowingly sell children's personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Home Dashboard may update this policy as the application, services, legal requirements, or data practices change. When material changes are made, the effective or last-updated date will be revised and additional notice may be provided when appropriate.
